包括Alberta在内的三个草原省份，自10月1日起提高最低工资标准。Alberta的新最低工资标准由原来的$10.2/小时增至$11.2/小时， Liquor Server最低工资由$9.2/小时涨至$10.7/小时。
NDP政府称这是2018年实现最低工资$15/小时的第一步，Alberta Wild Rose批评工资标准上涨，说这会在经济形势不好的时候危害企业主的利益。
The Alberta Federation of Labour（劳动局）称赞这项政策，称其是姗姗来迟，“这次工资标准上涨不会是世界末日，也不会是企业陷于困境，唯一的影响就是改善了那些低收入工人的生活！”

$9.20 for workers who serve alcohol.
Saskatchewan- $10.20
New Brunswick- $10.30
British Columbia – $10.45
Currently $10.25 for most workers and $9 for those serving alcohol; increasing to $10.45 and $9.20, respectively, in September 2015
P.E.I. – $10.50
$10.35 at present, rises in July 2015
Quebec – $10.55
$10.35 at present or $8.90 for workers who receive tips; increasing to $10.55 and $9.05, respectively, in May 2015
Nova Scotia – $10.60
$10.40 at present for most workers and $9.90 for “inexperienced” workers; increasing to $10.60 and $10.10, respectively, in April 2015
Newfoundland and Labrador – $10.50
$10.25 at present, rises in October 2015
Manitoba- $10.70
Yukon Territory – $10.86
$10.86 at present, rises in April 2015
Nunavut- $11.00
Ontario – $11.25
Currently $11; $10.30 for students under 18 and $9.55 for workers serving alcohol; increases to $11.25, $10.55 and $9.80, respectively, in October 2015
Northwest Territories – $12.50
$10 at present, rises in June 2015.
